A Relic of Honor
This rare piece is a traditional Ottoman stirrup. It is made entirely of 780 grams of solid brass , and stands 20 centimeters high with a base width of 19 centimeters. Every curve and etching tells a story from centuries past.
Dating back to the mid-18th century, this stirrup once belonged to a valiant Ottoman soldier, likely a cavalryman of high rank. Its sturdy structure, yet elegant floral engravings, suggest it was not only built for endurance but also for prestige, a symbol of loyalty and power during a time when the Ottoman Empire was still a dominant force in the region.
The top loop served as the point of attachment to the saddle, while the engraved footplate provided a secure foothold in battle. The delicate floral motifs pierced into the surface reveal the hand of a skilled artisan , merging function with beauty.
Owning this piece is not just about owning an artifact. It’s about holding history.
